The name means "garden houses," but you'll wade through plenty of apartment blocks before finding an actual garden in Bahçelievler — this is one of İstanbul's busiest, most "let's-just-get-through-the-day" neighborhoods. There's a metro, there's a bus, everyone's rushing somewhere, while you just want to sit and kill time.
