The surprise of "wait, did the metro really reach here" only just wore off in Sancaktepe — as the district grows, one end holds Aydos Forest, the other holds highway noise. The Samandıra side means shopkeepers, neighborhood chatter, and tea; further up it's new developments and new cafes. Nightlife seekers knocked on the wrong door — this is more of an "after-work, sit somewhere and clear your head" district. Climb Aydos and look down over the city — free therapy.
